Western Australia’s (WA) Mandurah and the Peel Region has consolidated its status as the country’s “golf coast” with three courses becoming the first in the state to be included in the Great Golf Courses of Australia (GGA), a marketing partnership with Tourism Australia..
Australian PGA Championship golfer Jarrod Mosley, said he was ecstatic for the region to be recognised as one of Australia’s premium golfing destinations.
“As someone born and bred here, these three courses have prepared me greatly for tournament play and I am certain they will be etched into the memories of travelling golfers forever.”
Ms Sattler, Executive Officer of GGA said the courses selected, The Cut, Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club and Secret Harbour Golf Links, share the attributes of the best courses in Australia.
“Each offers the international golfer unique experiences and are superbly designed, challenging courses set in spectacular locations. They are worthy additions to the outstanding golf tourism experiences we showcase to the world,” said Ms Sattler.
The region offers six courses, with three set against the breathtaking Indian Ocean and three surrounded by forest and wildlife, all in close proximity, it is a golfing holiday dream.
There are also experiences in the region for every type of holiday. Only an hour south of Perth by train or car, visitors will discover spectacular beaches, world-class natural beauty, abundance of wildlife and the cosmopolitan City of Mandurah.
With new tourism experiences complementing its superb natural assets, significant redevelopment and recently being recognised as WA’s 2017 Top Tourism Town, Mandurah has come of age, offering award-winning waterfront dining, aquatic adventures and plenty of places to shop.

- Mandurah is less than a one-hour drive south of Perth, located on the coast. Take the freeway south and get off at Mandjoogoordap Road. Trains and buses also operate between the two cities. transperth.wa.gov.au

When To Go
- The Peel Region can be visited any time of the year. Being on the coast, it’s spectacular in spring and in summer. But during winter, the scenery is amazing. You can find something to do all year around.
