JW Marriott opened the first JW Marriott in the Indian city of Pune and the third JW Marriott in India. The hotel is also the first Marriott property in the Asia Pacific region to undergo a conversion: from its former identity as the Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre to its new incarnation as a JW Marriott branded property.

“The property always reflected luxury with world-class amenities and elegance that are significant to a JW Marriott brand,” said Rajeev Menon, area vice president, South Asia. The launch evening featured a musical Broadway themed event and a party that saw the glitterati of the city in attendance followed the unveiling. JW Marriott Pune is located near the railway stations, expressway and airport.

Furthermore, the identity’s simple but singular black and white rendition helps brings the colors and richness of The Park’s environment to the fore, and helps differentiate it from its competitors.

The fresh visual identity system is made up of contemporary patterns, created from motifs that symbolize quintessential India. The new identity has been brought to life through a range of applications, including digital, collaterals, signages and a creation of a highly impactful brand video. The brand revitalization exercise has taken more than two years. This process not only entails the creation of the new look and feel across all the hotels, but also integrates the execution of unique experiences that are rooted in the brand promise of “Anything But Ordinary”.

The branding rollout starts April 1, 2013 and newly created experiences that are Anything But Ordinary will be introduced throughout the year. Anything But Ordinary experiences continue into each of the service touch points in the hotel including “The Arrival” experience that continues into “The Stay” experience to all touch points in the hotel including “The Spa.”

The Park Hotels are located in major cities and leisure destinations, such as Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi and Visakhapatnam. The Park Collection is The Park on Holiday Beach (Goa), The Park Pod (Chennai), and The Park Vembanad Lake and Apsara (Kerala).
