Sandals Resorts, Martha Stewart Living Wedding Program
February 3, 2010 on 5:20 am | In Beachbooker, Caribbean, Jamaica, Weddings Honeymoons | Comments Off
Sandals Resorts International (SRI) and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) unveiled more details of their joint Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart program. Brides and grooms can now book a destination wedding at any of the 18 Luxury Included Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts across the Caribbean.
With six wedding themes, Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart feature coordinated color palettes, designed wedding décor, bouquets, invitations, cakes and favors, along with à la carte items.
“We’re delighted to be working with Sandals Resorts to guide engaged couples down the aisle and help make their destination wedding unforgettable,” said Sandals Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart.
“With an array of themes to choose from, each one offering coordinated elements and special details, every couple will be able to celebrate their special day in their own personal style.” The six Sandals Weddings by Martha Stewart themes include:
The Beautiful Beginnings includes a sweet magenta dendrobium bouquet and boutonniere, as well as a table for four with crisp linens, a centerpiece and a white cake. For couples who book a minimum six-night wedding stay in a concierge category or higher at any Sandals Resort or Beaches Resort, the Beautiful Beginnings will be included at no additional cost.
The Flutter of Romance uses a butterfly motif to add a touch of whimsy to menus and place cards and to top the pale pink cake or round mini-cakes.
The bridal bouquet, boutonniere, and centerpieces are made of pink and fuchsia roses and magenta orchids that coordinate with the rest of the décor.
Flutter of Romance is priced at $1,500 in Jamaica; $1,700 in St. Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas; and $1,900 in Turks & Caicos.
The Vision in White uses hints of eyelet and lace to grace every detail, from the party favors to the desserts and delicate white orchids and gladiolas make up the bouquet.
Clients have the choice of a white cake or cupcakes, both decorated with doily accents. White pillar candles wrapped in eyelet fabric cast a glow over the reception table.
Vision in White is priced at $2,500 in Jamaica; $2,700 in St. Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas; and $2,900 in Turks & Caicos.
The Seaside Serenade features accents inspired by the sun, sand and surf of an island oasis.
Vows are exchanged under a bamboo arch strung with strands of capiz shells. The reception table is set with seashell, coral and sand accents.
A choice of an aqua fondant cake with white coral accents or cupcakes topped with white sugar seashells is offered.
Every detail, in white, aqua and coral, evokes a seaside celebration. Seaside Serenade is priced at $3,000 in Jamaica; $3,200 in St. Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas; and $3,400 in Turks & Caicos.
The Chic & Natural wedding uses clean lines and organic elements. The ceremony and reception are accented with white and green orchids, polished black river stones, vibrant green moss, and touches of natural linen.
Chic & Natural is priced at $3,600 in Jamaica; $3,800 in St. Lucia, Antigua and the Bahamas; and $4,000 in Turks & Caicos.
The Island Paradise wedding uses orchids arranged in magenta, pink, orange and yellow to reflect the hues of a setting sky and evoke a feel of romantic tropical opulence. Banana leaves embellish the bamboo ceremony arch, while natural wood trays filled with tropical fruits and bright blooms serve as the centerpieces.
The cake (or square mini-cakes) is trimmed with rattan pattern fondant and covered in fresh orchids for a Caribbean feel. Island Paradise is priced at $6,000, and takes place at 5 p.m. at all resorts.
In addition to the six wedding themes, couples have the opportunity to enhance their destination wedding with à la carte Finishing Touches for the ceremony and reception.
A variety of style elements are available, including parasols to shield guests from the sun, a petal-strewn aisle lit by floating candles in large glass hurricanes, a candy buffet where guests can help themselves, a romantically lit evening on the beach and a sand unity ceremony.
