Ryanair launches new summer routes from Stansted

Ryanair will start two new summer routes from London Stansted to Beziers, France, and Rimini, Italy.

Flights go on sale today and will operate in June, July and August.

Fares start from £15 and £26 respectively.

Silversea to Welcome Actor John Lithgow

Silversea Cruises’ Silver Whisper will welcome actor John Lithgow as a celebrity guest speaker aboard its July 5 voyage from Athens to Venice.

Guests on that cruise can see part of Lithgow’s new one-man show, “Stories by Heart,” now playing a limited engagement at Lincoln Center’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater in New York. The show is a comic meditation on the art and essence of storytelling. Lithgow won the first of two Tony Awards three weeks after his Broadway debut, in David Storey’s “The Changing Room.” He earned Oscar nominations for his performances in “The World According to Garp” and “Terms of Endearment.”

He also won three Emmy Awards, one Golden Globe, two SAG Awards and an American Comedy Award for playing alien High Commander Dick Solomon on the NBC comedy series “3rd Rock from the Sun.”
