LOT Offers Special Fares to Highlight New Dreamliner Premium Class

LOT Polish Airlines, the first European carrier to operate the Dreamliner, will offer special fares for its new Premium Economy class of service on its Dreamliner flights. The special “Premium Club” roundtrip fares start at $1,777 from Chicago and $1,677 from New York to Warsaw when booking on the airline’s website. The fares must be purchased by June 2. Fares include all taxes and fees and are subject to availability as well as changes without notice.
LOT will begin flying the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Chicago to Warsaw on June 5, followed on June 7 from Toronto to Warsaw and New York City JFK -Warsaw flights on June 30. With the Dreamliner, LOT will introduce its new Premium Economy Class on long-haul flights which offers industry-leading comfort and significantly more space than in Economy-Class at very affordable rates.
New version of mobile App “SkiRaport” for Poland
February 22, 2013 on 7:37 pm | In Poland, Skiing Snowboarding | Comments OffA new version of the mobile device application “SkiRaport”, prepared at the request of the Polish Tourist Organisation (POT), by the Association of Polish Skiing and Tourist Resorts, brings together 44 ski resorts in the Polish mountains. It highlights their offers and provides basic information such as operational ski-lifts, available pistes, opening times of slopes and trails, weather forecasts, and skiing conditions. It also contains links to online cameras, photo galleries, information about various destinations and how to get to them, the price of accommodation and contact details.
The latest version of the application has been prepared on the basis of information gathered during the previous skiing season, when the first version appeared. It also gives the opportunity for the resorts to present their promotional campaigns as each of them has access to an administrative portal through which relevant data can be entered or updated.
SkiRaport can be downloaded for free from the App Store or the Android Market. This application is available in three languages (Polish, English and Russian) and is suitable for mobile devices running Android or iOS systems. Its target group are the domestic and foreign visitors of Polish skiing resorts. According to estimates, in excess of 50,000 people will take advantage of this application during this year’s winter season.

Scandinavian Airlines Offers Low Seasonal Fares to Europe

Roundtrip fares start at $749 including taxes and fees, for travel in economy from Feb. 1 through March 31, and $849 from April 1 through June 15 with travel completed by June 30.
Tickets must be purchased by Jan. 15.
Availability is limited and restrictions apply.
SAS operates nonstop service from New York (Newark) to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm; from Chicago to Copenhagen and Stockholm; from Washington, D.C. to Copenhagen; and starting April 8 from San Francisco to Copenhagen.

Crystal Cruises’ summer 2013 voyages in Northern Europe will feature shorter itineraries and more overnights.
Beginning June 8 aboard the Crystal Serenity, three new seven-day itineraries and five 10-day luxury cruises will visit ports in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Russia and the U.K., including Ireland.
Crystal’s Northern Europe cruises offer a more than 25 percent increase in overnight calls, with twice as many the nights in Copenhagen alone.
Nearly all the voyages offer two nights in St. Petersburg. Two new seven-day U.K. cruises sail to and from Dublin for the first time, and a new seven-day London-Copenhagen sailing marks the line’s return to Amsterdam, Netherlands; Zeebrugge, Belgium; and Helsingborg, Sweden, after several years.
A 15-day North Cape voyage will make a maiden call to Loen and rare visit to Olden, Norway. North Cape and back-to-back Scandinavia/Russia cruises can be combined. Additionally, three Crystal Symphony cruises sail through Reykjavic, Iceland.

LOT Polish Airlines Takes Deliver of Boeing 787 Dreamliner

LOT Polish Airlines became the first European carrier to take delivery of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
LOT flew its first Dreamliner to Warsaw after a delivery ceremony in Seattle and the aircraft landed at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport at 10:51 a.m. local time and was greeted with a traditional water salute.
LOT’s Dreamliner flights will be operated in the U.S. and Canada to Warsaw beginning Jan. 16 from Chicago, Feb. 1 from Toronto, and Feb. 3 from New York City.
The first LOT Dreamliner flight will begin on Dec. 14 from Warsaw to Prague.
Over the next eight months, there are more European cities scheduled for Dreamliner short-haul flights, including Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Hanover, Kiev, Budapest and Brussels.
In preparation for the delivery of the B-787 Dreamliner, LOT Polish Airlines created an elite team of flight attendants to cater to the needs of passengers in all three cabins — business class, called Elite Club, features fully flat beds with ottomans, a 180-degree recline, over-10-inch screens, and power and USB ports at each seat, and Premium economy, called Premium Club, offers a separate cabin with seats that recline 132 degrees with power and USB ports in each seat. In economy class, there are seatback video screens at every seat.

LOT Polish Airlines Offers Fare Sale to Celebrate Dreamliner Service

The sale is dubbed Crazy Days and it is on Nov. 14 and 15 in conjunction with the inauguration of the aircraft on flights from Chicago, New York and Toronto.
The fares are valid for purchase on LOT’s Dreamliner flights which depart next year beginning Jan. 16 from Chicago, Feb. 1 from Toronto, and Feb. 3 from New York City.
All travel must be completed by May 31. Crazy Days roundtrip economy class sale fares are nonrefundable and non-changeable.
A minimum Saturday night stay is required and because seats are limited, the fares may not be available on all dates for the LOT operated flights.
