Four Points by Sheraton expects to open six new hotels in Asia Pacific this year, including four in China, in addition to its first hotel in Malaysia – Four Points by Sheraton Kuching, and its first in Vietnam – Four Points by Sheraton Halong Bay.

“Four Points by Sheraton is in the midst of a truly impressive, global growth spurt due to its popularity among customers and investors alike,” said Miguel Ko, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Asia Pacific. “The strong demand for moderately priced lodging coupled with the increase in domestic travel in many Asian markets is helping to propel the brand’s growth to a level that is expected to rival that of Starwood’s luxury and upper upscale brands.”

Starwood’s upscale brands - which include the recently revitalized Four Points by Sheraton brand and Starwood’s two newest entries in the category, aloft and element – are fueling the company’s pipeline growth in markets across the globe.

“The heightened demand for Four Points by Sheraton throughout Asia Pacific has played a key role in driving the brand’s phenomenal international expansion,” said Sandy Swider, Vice President, Four Points by Sheraton. “The atmosphere at Four Points by Sheraton helps guests both work and relax and our Simple Pleasures make them feel special.”

With a flair for fun and an eye for clean, appealing design, Four Points by Sheraton covers all the basics including a comfortable bed, great shower, state-of-the-art meeting facilities, restaurant service and extras guests love like the brand’s signature Best Brews program or Feel Good Treats.

“Four Points by Sheraton is an ideal product for many markets in Asia Pacific because the brand caters to both mid-scale business and leisure travelers, while meeting the demands of meeting and event planners with a comfortable, fun and fuss-free hotel experience that at the same time provides great value,” added Ko.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates,– The Kingdom’s hotel market is growing quickly and will likely see the addition of several top tier hospitality brands over the next decade, according to industry executives speaking on the sidelines of the Saudi Tourism Summit taking place in Riyadh this week.

Already, the Arabian Gulf’s largest commercial and leisure destination is set to benefit from the opening of a property managed by one of the world’s premier hospitality brands, the Park Hyatt Jeddah.

The stunning 142-room Park Hyatt Jeddah sits on a 140,000 square meter Equestrian complex offering unrestricted access to the Red Sea. In 2008, Kempinski Hotel Ajman is celebrating ten distinctive years as the region’s favourite resort getaway. The original Kempinski property in the Middle East and the first luxury hotel in Ajman, the hotel has welcomed guests from all over the globe and remains a firm favourite with leisure travellers to the region. To mark the occasion, the resort has planned a continuous roll-out of special promotions and giveaways throughout the year, culminating in October.

“Kempinski Hotel Ajman was launched at a time when the tourism industry in the United Arab Emirates was still in its infancy. Ajman offered the ideal location for a secluded resort destination, steeped in local culture and history. This quiet hamlet possessed a natural charm owing to its tranquil environment and more importantly its fantastic coastline,” recalled Ulrich Eckhardt, Managing Director of Kempinski Hotel Ajman.

Few would ever question the wisdom of Kempinski’s bold initiative at that time, which lead the hotel in becoming a stand-alone resort destination in the area, a popular tourist magnate for Ajman in particular, and the United Arab Emirates in general.

Only minutes away from Dubai, nestled on a secluded stretch of coastline at the end of the Ajman Corniche, the 183-room resort boasts probably the most spectacular private beach in the country. This natural beauty paired with the elegant surroundings and facilities of the hotel itself, have ensured the resorts continued success in the now highly competitive hospitality industry. As a lush haven of leisure and recreation, the resort has long been a popular choice for weekend breaks and family holidays. A bevy of water-sports activities, an outdoor temperature-controlled pool, beautiful beach, bowling alley and two spa’s – the holistic Softouch Ayurveda Spa and pampering Laguna Spa – have kept guests entertained and relaxed.

Dead Sea Muds and SaltsOver the years, the hotel has been also been the focal point of the emirate’s dining and entertainment scene with its superb collection of destination restaurants drawing a loyal following from both local community and the neighbouring emirates. Four specialised restaurants including Bukhara for succulent Tandoori, Hai Tao Chinese restaurant for Szechwan and Cantonese flavours, all-day international dining at Café Kranzler and fine Italian dining at Sabella’s, each have chefs hailing from the cuisines country of origin, ensuring an especially authentic dining experience.

Get Your Tropical Gear HereCurrently half-way through a major renovation program, the hotel recently upgraded all guest rooms, suites and corridors to a heightened level of refreshing modern luxury. Moving forward into 2008, this refurbishment will be extended to renew both the grand lobby and also a complete facelift and expansion for the Laguna Spa, during the traditionally quieter summer months.

“As one of the pioneering five-star hotels in the United Arab Emirates, Kempinski Hotel Ajman has perfected the art of hospitality excellence over the last decade, gaining a loyal following of international and regional guests that return to us because of the wonderful experience they have here. Our goal is to grow and excel further with each passing year, ever enhancing our superb hospitality offering”, ended Eckhardt.
