The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, S.C., is offering its first Grande Gourmet Weekend, a three-day event scheduled for Oct. 17 to 19, blending the latest food trends from historic New England with contemporary Southern fare.
Signature receptions, cooking demonstrations and catered feasts will feature menus that fuse local dishes from both regions, with specialty items such as beer braised pork from South Carolina’s Caw Caw Creek, “deconstructed” seafood stew with Maine lobster and homegrown desserts from both the North and South. Colonial Williamsburg is offering a series of programs and events to entice travelers to the destination this fall. Kick off the harvest season with Colonial Williamsburg’s Autumn Splendor Bed and Breakfast, a discount package available for guests.

Seventeen decorative arts and folk art pieces are described from a teen perspective in order to excite teens about decorative and folk art pieces throughout the museums.

JetBlue Airways has announced plans to grow its focus city at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport this winter with double daily service to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
One daily flight begins Dec. 18, 2008, while a second daily flight will be added Jan. 6, 2009. JetBlue is offering fares beginning at $109 each way between Fort Lauderdale and San Juan.
