Small ship operator Alaskan Dream Cruises has strengthened its expedition ship fleet with a sixth vessel.
Joining the fleet is the 128-foot-long Kruzof Explorer which has a capacity for 12 passengers in six staterooms.
The converted crab fishing boat will sail the 10-day ‘Alaska’s Remote Wilderness Expedition’ itinerary, which calls at Glacier Bay National Park and Admiralty Island from July to September.
The ship still features the five-ton crane which was used to haul in its catch.
“People throughout the world have seen these remarkable Alaska crab vessels in action on popular TV shows. Now they’ll have a chance to sail aboard one while voyaging through the famous Inside Passage,” said Zakary Kirkpatrick, Alaskan Dream Cruises’ director of marketing.
