Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall is offering free entry to all visitors named Harry and Meghan/Megan plus the first couple with those names will also get a free copy of Shakespeare’s Love Sonnets! Visit the Alcester food Festival on the 19 & 20 May which will have a royal theme. The wedding will be screened throughout the town in all the pubs and a public venue (TBC) plus exhibitors are encouraged to bring special merchandise. The British Motor Museum will be screening the wedding plus visitors can see a selection of Royal Cars including a 1971 Rover P5B which was HM Queen Elizabeth’s II’s car, a 1974 Range Rover which was used as a royal ceremonial vehicle and a 1968 Vanden Plas Princess which has transported many of the current royal family. Visitors on the day can also attend the ‘UK Slot Car Festival’ which takes place on 19 & 20 May. Billed as Europe’s biggest and best slot car event, this exciting festival promises to be another great family day out with plenty of activities on offer.
