St. Bride’s Spa Hotel, located in southwest Wales, began a multi-million dollar project in October 2004 to transform the traditional seaside hotel into a contemporary 35-bedroom luxury retreat with meeting rooms, and most recently, a cliff edge marine spa. The cliff edge spa consists of a thermal suite with a salt grotto, herbal steam room, rock sauna, an indoor/outdoor vitality pool with an infinity edge, and some other unusual water elements.
The adventure shower is snail-shell shaped and offers a selection of tropical rain, cold mist, and gush shower. Each selection has its own chromotherapy lighting effect and essence. The ice fountain is so named because of the large bowl that continuously collects a stream of crushed ice to be placed on the body to cool the skin-an alternative to the traditional plunge pool found in most spas. Treatments use products from Algotherm.
