Stay in a Floating Lodge on a Norwegian Fjord, Tromso, Norway
Off the Map Travel guests now have the opportunity to stay in the new floating VOLDA lodge, moored off the coast of Tromso Island. Surrounded by the night sky, mountains and the water of the fjord, and set on a former ferry, the floating lodge offers seven modern accommodations for up to 14 guests along with dining and lounging spaces.

Cozy Up in a Cabin Made of Ice at the New Apukka Resort, Rovaniemi, Finland
Guests to the Apukka Resort can warm up under reindeer skins and special bedding inside new individually made Ice Cabins. Set in the Rovaniemiwilderness, each cabin is built with bricks of 100% ice, topped with a wooden roof. The temperature in the Ice Cabin stays cool but cozy, ensuring a good night’s sleep under the stars. Guests can also choose to stay in Aurora Cabins with transparent ceilings for optimal Aurora viewing, in caravan-style Aurora Wagons with windows facing the night sky, or in warm apartments.

Sleep in a Traditional Hand-built Igloo at the New Igloo Lodge, Ilulissat, Greenland
Adventurous travellers are invited to experience the Arctic like the Inuit people with a stay in a traditional hand-built igloo village.
Known as the Igloo Lodge, the new village is comprised of five spacious igloos, each with room for two people and kitted out with reindeer skins, warm sleeping bags and a petroleum lamp on a night table. On site is a cozy wooden cabin with bathrooms and a communal meal area. Although outside temperatures can drop well below freezing, the igloos remain around 32ºF, with specialized outdoor equipment providing coziness and comfort for sleeping.
