It’s possible to enjoy the warm weather of Orlando and still experience the best the holidays have to offer this year at Disney World.
After all, Orlando is one of the most popular places for a winter vacation according to a survey from U.S. News and World Report.
November, December and January are festive months in the city. Walt Disney World is gearing up for the holiday season with new deals at the seven Disney Springs Resort Area hotels.
Favorite family events such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
and Candlelight Processional at Epcot don’t have to come at a steep price. Through January 15, visitors can take advantage of Holiday Sale Rates.
The rates start as low as $75 per night at the Holiday Inn Orlando in the Disney Springs Area. Rooms are $77 per night at the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista. B Resort & Spa is offering rates as low as $90 per night. The Best Western Lake Buena Vista has rooms for $101 per night.
Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace and Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista are both offering discounted rooms. At the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace rooms start at $129 and rooms at the Lake Buena Vista are just $109. Guests can also stay at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando in the Disney Springs area for $134 per night
A highlight for visitors is sure to be the newly opened Pandora—the World of Avatar. Guests are going to want to make sure they have tickets to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, home to the new land. The 12-acre theme park features settings from the movie, complete with floating mountains, waterfalls and a rainforest. Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na’vi River Journey are two of the most talked-about attractions.
There are a lot of other new ways in which families can enjoy the holidays at Disney World.
The popular Minnie Van service has been expanded to several more areas of the resort. The rideshare program, introduced just months ago, was previously only available at two hotels in the area. However, its popularity led to its expansion and now includes the Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Cooper Creek Villas and Cabins and Boulder Ridge Cabins at the Wilderness Lodge, the Grand Floridian and Polynesian Village.
Visitors can now feel free to bring the whole family–furry friends included. This October, several Disney World hotels began welcoming pets and offering pet services such as daycare.
For those branching out beyond the parks at Walt Disney World, there are a number of new attractions all around Orlando to keep families busy.
