33rd Annual Wellington Holiday Parade – Wellington, Fla.
The Central Palm Beach County Chamber and Village of Wellington will be hosting the 33rd Annual Wellington Holiday Parade on Sunday, December 11 at 1:30 p.m. The Grand Marshals for 2016 will be Dance Theatre at Wellington, who were recently issued a proclamation by the Wellington Village Council for being chosen to appear in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. 25,000 spectators are expected to attend this year’s event. Holiday Park will also be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature exhibitors offering fun, food, music and fun in the Wellington Amphitheater.
100 foot Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – Delray Beach, Fla.
On December 1, come witness the lighting ceremony for the Delray Beach 100 foot Christmas tree, one of the largest and most-celebrated holiday events in Palm Beach County. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with kid’s performances, ice skating, kiddy train ride, carousel, and Puttn’ Around mini-golf course. Santa will arrive to light the 100 foot Christmas tree at 7:15 p.m., and he will be available for photos in his Key West-style cottage, located next to the 100 foot Tree. Boynton Holiday Parade – Boynton Beach, Fla.
The 46th Annual Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 3. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. in downtown Boynton Beach, at Seacrest Blvd. between SE 12th Ave and Ocean Ave. The city’s annual holiday parade is one of the largest holiday parades in Palm Beach County, with more than 50 units. Santa will make a special appearance during the parade.

This flotilla of brightly-decorated boats will line up at the Lantana Bridge near the Old Key Lime House restaurant, and motor south at 6:30 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway to the C-15 canal in Delray Beach on December 9 at 6 p.m. The event at the Boynton Harbor Marina starts at 6 p.m., with live music setting the stage for the parade. More than 600 guests are expected to come together for the Grand Hall Christmas Tree Lighting event, where the youngest descendants of Henry Flagler follow tradition by flipping the switch on the tree lights as the culmination of the day’s events. Other activities include music from the home’s organ, Santa Claus and a Special Christmas Lecture. Holiday Evening Tours are also available from December 18-23.

Light Up Downtown Boca – Boca Raton, Fla.
This annual series of winter holiday festivities kicks off on November 23 at Mizner Park Amphitheater with a free Holiday Festival culminating in the city’s and Mizner Park’s annual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The event includes carnival rides, a mountain of snow, carolers, children’s crafts, and live entertainment including a festive stage show. The highlight of the evening will be the ceremonial lighting of the city’s tree led by Mayor Susan Haynie that will illuminate simultaneously with Mizner Park’s 47-foot animated tree at the south end of the center near Lord & Taylor. Other events throughout the season include a themed Holiday Street Parade, Merry Tuba Christmas Concert, a holiday-themed outdoor movie and a holiday boat parade along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Beginning this Black Friday through Christmas Eve, December 24, Palm Beach Outlets generously gifts each shopper’s family a present of two free professional Santa photos, along with a digital download of a single image. This whimsical month-long holiday celebration includes a 600-ton Sand tree “Sandi,” and several free family-friendly activities. Throughout the month of December, visitors can view the 35-foot holiday sand tree in Sandi Land on the stunning West Palm Beach Waterfront, and enjoy dazzling musical light shows. Nightly light shows take place every 15 minutes starting at 6:15 p.m. throughout the month of December.
Aloha Islanders Tropical Holiday Spectacular – On Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Aloha Islanders present a Tropical Holiday Spectacular with authentic, high-energy Polynesian entertainment for all ages. The show is action packed with pulsating drums, beautiful hula dancers and exciting Samoan fire-knife dancers. Guests can enjoy a journey through Polynesia with a non-stop revue of dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa and New Zealand. There will also be a conch blowing contest as part of the tropical festivities to see which contestant can blow their own horn the loudest. Children can enjoy the activities around Sandi Land. Admission is free. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to this outdoor event.
SUNSET LOUNGE JAZZ SERIES presents Selwyn Birchwood – Historic Northwest District in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Selwyn Birchwood will perform at the famed Sunset Lounge in West Palm Beach’s historic Northwest district for an early New Year’s celebration on December 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Birchwood is a young, next-generation bluesman known for his skilled guitar playing, soulful vocals, magnetic personality, and his trademark afro. Guests can experience this modern powerhouse performer at the legendary jazz venue located in the historically black community just northwest of downtown West Palm Beach. Tickets are $20.
The Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center’s 28th Annual Living Christmas Tree and the
11th Annual Festival of Trees – Belle Glade, Fla.
This year’s performance will feature two acts: the children’s choir, under the direction of Becky Watson, will present the fun musical, “Lights, Cameras, Christmas!” and will be followed by “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” which will be presented by the adult choir, under the direction of Carol Schmidt. The performances will be on Saturday, December 3 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 4 at 3 p.m. Tickets are only $5.
