If you’re a Hyatt enthusiast or have elite status with the hotel chain, you can now add to your ever-growing list of bucket list resorts.
As of June 29, the Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa in Tucson joined the World of Hyatt program, making it eligible for award stays and special point-earning opportunities.
According to World of Hyatt, program members can earn and redeem points at the Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa while also receiving benefits related to their elite status. As a World of Hyatt member, you’ll get a $175 resort credit per person per day along with unlimited meals, snacks and wellness activities.
If you’re angling for an award stay at this property, there are several ways to make it happen. The Chase Hyatt credit card is one of the best options available.
Up until June of 2017, the Hyatt credit card offered two free nights at Hyatt properties worldwide. If you have free night vouchers, you can apply them for free stays at this property. Starting in July, however, the Chase Hyatt credit card began doling out 40,000 points after you spend $2,000 on your card within three months of account opening.
These points can also be used to book Hyatt award stays.
Unfortunately, the price tag for these rooms is rather steep:
—Standard room: 45,000 points or 22,500 points plus $450 per night
—Suite: 75,000 points per night
In addition, you’ll need to pay an additional 20,000 points per night for double occupancy.
While that’s quite a tall order, you do receive the $175 daily resort credit that you can use for special spa treatments, private sessions and activities according to the property website.
If you’re short on points, also keep in mind that World of Hyatt is a proud transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards. If you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve or Ink Preferred Business credit card, you can transfer your points to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.
Whether you pay to visit the Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa with cash or points, the same amenities become available to you. For example, all Miraval stays include:
—Unlimited juice and smoothie bar
—Shuttle transportation to Tucson Airport
—More than 120 wellness activities
—$175 in resort credit per person per day
Miraval also offers special packages for families and groups. Their Signature Experience, for example, includes all the regular resort amenities plus unlimited resort credits to cover an array of “extra” activities and upgraded luxury accommodations.
A nightly stay for two this fall starts at $878 per night for an unlimited or signature experience. If you belong to the World of Hyatt program and have points or reward nights to spare, this property offers a fun way to get a lot of bang for your buck.
