SIX SENSATIONAL NEW SUITES OFFER LUXURIOUS LIFE ON THE EDGE AT LEWINNICK LODGE, NEWQUAY, CORNWALL
A stunning hidden gem on the North Cornwall coast, Lewinnick Lodge hovers literally on the edge of Pentire Headland, surrounded by salty sea air and the wild wash of the captivating Atlantic. Guest will enjoy arguably THE best sea view in the South West from six new spacious and beautifully designed rooms, perched right on the cliff’s edge.
A brand new £1 million development has seen the creation of six stunning new rooms all of which have a deluxe, spacious north-facing room, boasting 180-degree panoramic coastal views, a free-standing bath next to the bed and a separate walk in power shower. The book end two rooms, however, are lucky enough to boast 360 degree views.
A world away from coastal ‘chintz’, designed by Guy Bostock and doused in neutral hues of Farrow & Ball, the spacious, contemporary suites beckon guests to recline on the Emperor-sized bed or unwind in the free-standing bath. Either way they can’t escape the breath-taking ocean views that slip-in through two huge windows which blur the boundaries between inside and out, bringing stunning coastal panoramas to guests’ bedsides.
In addition to the super-king beds, Egyptian cotton linen, DAB radios, Bluetooth speakers and Smart TVs, the rooms also come with added extras – such as homemade biscuits, organic toiletries and cosy bathrobes for an even nicer stay.
Approached down a winding lane, guests feel as if they’re stumbling upon an undiscovered hideaway amongst the craggy cliffs when they go to the Lewinnick Lodge. Seemingly a world away from Newquay, yet just a short stroll to iconic surf centre Fistral Beach; it hogs a unique and enviable location. In its past life it has been used as a fisherman’s store and even a smuggler’s den but has now reached its full potential brimming with understated elegance and cool allure.
Dan Trotter, owner of Lewinnick Lodge says, “The view from these new rooms is simply unbeatable whatever the time of year. Guests can enjoy sunshine streaming through the windows or watch the storms rolling in from the horizon whilst cocooned in the surrounds of their boutique room. We’ve also created a lounge area which is separate from the bar and restaurant areas for guests to relax, read a book or simply admire the seascape, as well as an extended outdoor area even closer to the edge”.
Retreaters can book a table in the restaurant, take a pew by the bar, lounge by the fireside or bask on the terrace. The bar and restaurant both serve up seafood fresh from the ocean and classic dishes made with local Cornish ingredients, fine world wines and locally-brewed ales. For earlier in the day barista coffee is served with delicious homemade cake and the Lewinnick breakfast menu serves up a variety of delicious options ranging from a full Cornish breakfast, American pancakes to Mexican eggs.
Located directly on the South West Coast Path and just a stone’s throw away from Fistral and Crantock surf beaches, the Lewinnick Lodge is a dog-friendly hotel in a phenomenal location for a luxury holiday in Cornwall.
