Sunwing checks into Tobago with Starfish resort
Tobago is getting its first major new resort for several years.
The 125-room Starfish Tobago is set to open in December and marks parent Sunwing Travel Group’s entry in the market.
It is being supported by the launch of new seasonal flights on Sunwing Airlines from Toronto.
Weekly flights operate from December 20, 2018 through April 18, 2019.
The resort is being rebranded and is the result of a recently announced alliance with Rex Resorts.
The family-friendly resort becomes the 12th Starfish property in the Caribbean.
The resort features several dining outlets and inclusive sports and activities for guests such as sailing.
“We are excited to be entering into this partnership which reflects our commitment to the CARICOM countries of the Lesser Antilles,” said Stephen Hunter, CEO of Sunwing Travel Group.
The Starfish resort footprint extends to St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbados and Cuba.
