The Spa at Massanutten Resort Launches New Menu of Services, Including Infrared Dry Sauna, Wellness Classes & More
Invigorating Massages, Facials, and Nail Treatments Available;
Spa Now Offering Customized Treatments for Men, Teens and Tots
McGaheysville, Va. –– The Spa at, a premier all-season resort in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, today announced the debut of an Infrared Dry Sauna and a new, free Morning Massage Wellness Class. Along with these additions, the Spa has also unveiled a fully revamped , expanding its offerings to the entire family. Select services include enhanced services for men, customizable treatments for teens and tweens, colorful hair wraps complete with beads and charms, and more.

The new Infrared Dry Sauna at The Spa will heat up 30-to-100 percent quicker than traditional rock and water saunas and operate at a safe 130°F, maximizing therapeutic benefits. Studies indicate that potential health benefits of using the infrared sauna include detoxification, relaxation, pain relief, weight loss (burning up to 500 calories in 30 minutes), improved circulation, skin purification, anti-aging and muscle regeneration. The experience is $30 per person for 30 minutes, or $50 per couple.
For those interested in learning the benefits of massage and how to self-massage, a new Morning Massage Wellness Class is now available. Attendees will be introduced to stretching techniques, the health benefits of the services offered, and will join in on a Shiatsu back massager and reflexology roller demonstration, which are used for Myofascial release therapy. The class is offered Monday through Thursday at 9 a.m. on the Spa patio. There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested 24 hours in advance, as each session is limited to 12 guests. This class is the latest addition to the growing list of classes offered at The Spa, which include a couple’s massage class, foot reflexology, makeup, personal nail care class, and more.
