As Florida continues to recover from Hurricane Irma, Avis and Budget Car Rental are offering one-way rates from the Northeast to Florida for as low as $5 per day.
In the days leading up to Irma’s landfall in Florida, more than 6.5 million residents of the state were ordered to leave their homes in what was called one of the largest mass evacuations in American history.
Now, many Floridians are returning to their neighborhoods and there is a serious demand for affordable travel back home. With a shortage of vehicles in Florida, Avis and Budget are giving travelers heading from the Northeast down to Florida the chance to help the cause for an affordable price.
People in Florida are desperate for vehicles so they can return home, check in on vacation properties, see loved ones, volunteer, run their businesses and more. As a result, travelers can rent a car for the low price from now through the end of October.
To be eligible, consumers must pick up their vehicle from a participating Northeast location and return it to a different participating Florida location. Customers can rent the vehicles between one and 14 days and still receive the discounted rates.
After Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc on Florida, Avis and Budget are helping the impacted residents while also offering travelers an incredible deal.
