Statue Cruises said tickets are now available for sale in preparation for the July 4 reopening of Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty. The attractions were closed for eight months because of damage from Hurricane Sandy. Visitors may now purchase tickets to visit Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty.
Tickets are now available. Visitors may reserve advance tickets for travel from July 4 through September 2.
“We are delighted that Lady Liberty will once again be open to the public. We look forward to providing a safe and enjoyable experience to all of our visitors,” said Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island Superintendent David Luchsinger.
“We appreciate the extraordinary efforts of all of those who are working diligently to re-open the park.”
Starting July 4th, visitors will once again have access to Liberty Island, including the grounds, pedestal, the statue, and limited areas on Ellis Island. Further details about Ellis Island will be available in the coming weeks.
